Sorry I forgot to tell you I didn't like the wire draw dividers. It took too long to remove the chicks. I felt it was too small for the number of eggs I put in it. I'm going to stick with fewer eggs - that way I can do more hatches.
Here's a better description from "The Old Farm House Chickens" Isbars (pronounced ice-bars) were developed by a Catholic monk in Sweden around the 1950's. In 2012, when we acquired our first flock, it was said there were fewer than 500 Isbars in existence worldwide. This breed has become very...

Well I looked up DIS for possible reasons. Most of the non viable + DIS were from 1 shipper, great packaging, but rough trip. I never opened the incubator, there was never a temp spike or power outage, humidity was pretty consistent. It leaves poor turning - especially during the first week or...
11 chicks hatched, 2 needed assistance - I OPENED all of the others. Of the 11 unhatched eggs 2 were very early quitters, 4 brown ones never developed, Then the sad part - 5 DIS.
But I do have 6 B/B/S Ameraucanas, 3 OEs and 2 Marans.
