Looking for the best premade nest boxes. Will eventually have about 30 chickens. I was thinking possibly a roll out box so I don’t end up with egg eaters but I am open to anything. My husband is building our coop and he has had enough, so not building nest boxes!!!

Have you built your coop yet? Just wondering if you figured out a brooding area?

It seems like it is split opinions. You hear people that swear by them because it keeps the rest of the coop cleaner and others that think it’s easoer to not use them at all.

Thanks!!! I was hoping to have space under the droppings board for a broody box or unjust wf bird. What are your thoughts? Is it not worth it? The other thought was shelves off to one side that were hardware cloth bottoms and sides that could be used for broody boxes.

Can I put a poop shelf under the roosting bars or will that ruin the design? Also, how far from the wall should the roosting bars be and how far apart. I know it’s in the book but I’m not finding it. Hoping to finish this part of the coop tomorrow!!!

Just got the windows for my coop but now questioning the size. We have decided on building the 10x16. I got 3 windows that are 32x36 for the top monitor windows and the same size for each window on the sides. Are the monitor windows too big? And the side windows too small?

I guess that wouldn't be saving any money!!! That's why I just come up with the ideas and my husband and dad do the actual building. What I have in my head doesn't always make sense!!! I does look cool though! Any cost savings tips?
