I think goats are terrible pets to be honest. But I hace 30hectares of weeds on my new land, so I need some help!
These 3 are in my suburban backyard this week, because I don't trust the little terd burgers not to somehow-houdini-style-escape from the farm. Just giving them a bit of time to...
How are you going with your Texas quail @BReeder! ??
I think today might be quail dispatching day.. if I can get these kids to bed early..
Look what I have in my backyard..
Sorry to hijack your thread ..
I have a question for @R2elk (pretty please)
I have some land.. And electric netting for boundaries. The only real predators to worry about here at foxes, but electric netting will keep them out.
Anyway, I was planning on putting my chickens out on the land...
Oh boy.. It's getting weird in here :gig:gig
Yeah Kiki, itchy rashes :hit getting worse
We've hatched turkeys & chickens inside, and never had any issue. Them ratbag Turkey's lived inside the house for months! But there's obviously something in quailies my body doesn't like, even with them...
:gig:gig:gig @BReeder!
@Texas Kiki you'll have to take me out of the poll/stats :hit no more baby quailies for me. I have to dispatch all of the 31 I have. It's taken soooo long to get my 4 different bloodlines :hit something about them is not agreeing with my body :hit
Hope you find your...
Sara's going to be drowning in tiny peepers :wee
Sorry about #3 shortchick :hugs
Yeah sorry Kiki, I talk in tongues sometimes! It's open red sores in between doggies toes, very ouchy. Special dogs for a special human :lau
That Nutriscan test (saliva test) is really good CayugaJana, it has...
My first black leghorn chick has hatched, must be a boy because it's a soooo noisy!!! There's a second pipper in there too. The Janoel definitely has hot spots, I try move them around the bator during incubation, but whatever  It's only day 20 for them.
I think I need a new plan...
Possibly not if that have to go up any sort of ramp etc.
In my little quail houses, I have plastic hidey igloo things (like you get for bunnies & guinea pigs), and they often take turns laying their eggs in a little nest in there. Makes it much easier than searching for the eggs!
I thought they all looked female by the pics. I have 2 goldens, barely a speckle on their chests, and they are both girls.
Might be a bit too soon to tell?
