we had a really really hot summer here in new orleans this year. all 4 of my girls stopped laying all together and havent started either. its been 5 or so months now...any idea whats wrong? what can i do?

im looking fo a couple new hens and a bout a dozen or 2 meat birds. any1 close to me? im actually in laplace, which is 15-20 min away from new orleans.

do i have to refrigerate them for a few days or a week to let rigor set out? even after i boiled it for gumbo, it wa still tough as all ****. the birds were only about a yr old. any suggestions?

im wanting to move my hen house to the opposite side of my yard b/c my neighbor doesnt like it so close to his backyard...understandable. but its like 5-7ft away from my citrus trees. will all the fresh crap kill em'?

around here they place 3 chickens in different areas and draw blood weely to check for nile n other viruses. all are about 8 months old or so and laying. sadly i cant keep em all b/c my coop and run isnt big enough for 11 chickens. 1 of them is real mean and eats feathers off the other ones, so...

my roosters crow starts right, but the ending is not being done or done like he has a soar throat or something. also it isnt nearly as loud as it used to be. hes a black tailed japanese bantam, and is about 20-26 months old...any ideas what wrong?
