Rarefeathers, those chicken necklaces are very pretty!
SunnyDawn, I love Thomas Kincaid, too. It is tapestry fabric. The same stuff that the throws and wall hangings are made of that they sell of his paintings. I don't know how someone ended up with a chunk with raw edges that wasn't used...
I found this panel on ebay. I originally was going to frame it to hang on my wall, but then I decided to make it a wall hanging instead. I have this big empty wall in my kitchen that this is going to fill quite well!
I love ya Acre, but you just can't have this quilt! lol. Sorry... you are so funny!
I have played with things now and I don't think I like the looks of the same colors together (looks like flying geese) as well as I like them in #2. Thank you all very much! I really appreciated having your...
Welcome Annie... I missed your post while I was writing mine! This is a great place to be!
Thank you for your input! I kind of like #1 myself, but I definitely agree that #2 probably fits better with the quilt. One more thought... lol... should I try to put two of the same color squares...
Sorry to switch the subject ladies... lol... you all crack me up! I'm still working on this quilt for my sister and I'm having a horrible time making up my mind with it! So, i thought I'd ask your opinions to help me make my decision.
First, here is the progress on it (I know it's been...
Ok, that's it... I'm fed up with my miniature ironing board! I miss my big one that folded out of the wall in the old house! I am going to have to get a full sized ironing board soon or I'm going to go crazy! Working on this quilt on the tiny ironing board I took with me to college is not...

Awww... I'm sorry! I don't know what I'd do without my office/sewing room now that I have it, so I can imagine how frustrating that must feel!
Good luck on finding it, Acre! If nothing else, I may have some of the fabric that matches the panel left over when I'm done. If so, I may...
Thanks everyone! I love it, too. I'd keep it for myself, but I know how much it will mean to my sister. She took the pillows I made to college with her and showed them off to everyone. She still has them, although they're starting to be pretty worn. I hope to make her some new ones to go...
I have a picture to share! This has definitely made me rely on my math skills a bit. The center panel was 34" x 43" so it wasn't a really friendly size to work with. Fortunately I got things pretty close when I calculated the size that the strips between the blocks needed to be. So what is...
Beautiful Acre!
I am working on the quilt I'm giving my sister as a wedding gift. I'm "cheating" a bit, because the center of it is a panel. I am only using it because it is the same scene as what is in some fabric I used to make her some pillows years ago. She LOVED those pillows, so when I...
SE, the pattern is the Double Friendship Star. It's one of my favorites. I just added a border around it.
Thanks everyone. I can't wait to give them to my friend... she's going to be excited, I think!
So many beautiful things here! You are all so talented!
Queen, I made some pillows this weekend, too! By the way, I love the wolf fabric... I used the same fabric to make some pillows for my hubby a while back.
My pillows... specially made for a friend. She found the Jeep fabric a couple...
