And they do promise to send only the strongest, healthiest chicks, that they weed out any that don't meet the standards. Grrr...I don't know what...

I believe set date is March 30th for chickens.

I have found 2 breeder with eggs, and 1 of them also has chicks/juveniles. Because of their limited availability, I may just get the chicks. That way its guaranteed. Hate to pay a fortune for eggs that I mess up trying to hatch. Specially such a rare breed.

Oh, I so love the look of the Breda. I will have to start researching the breed and breeders. I do believe that I may put more than one breed into the Easter hatch, Marans, EEs and hopefully the Bredas. Yep, Aquarius here.

Beautiful set-up. Think I might use some of your ideas. One recommendation: Put in outlet plug protectors. When chicks get a little bigger, they will peak at the outlet.

Oh, I am so sorry. You could keep the incubator in the laundry room or try putting a humidifier in the room with it . I keep mine in the laundry room, so if the room seems chilled or dry, I throw a turn of laundry in. Perks the room right up.
