Well, I did the day 14 candling several days ago, and I only have three eggs that are developing. *sigh* at least I have good company. I did order 6 more eggs, so I'm hoping that I end up with at least 4 turkeys this year.
I candled again today, and I think the temp fluctuations for one day killed most of my batch.
Only two eggs have noticeably progressed, and the rest seem exactly the same as the first time I candled. I have the slim hope that I'm a neruotic worrier who is seeing things that arn't there to...
Ok, I finally gave in and candled my babies yesterday, and development in every egg! Woohoo! There were three floating aircells, so I'll have to hatch in a carton, but that's doable.
Ok, I have to confess that this is my first time hatching turkeys, and I'm researching late (I know, get the ruler).
I am finding conflicting information on resources regarding temp. Some say the same range as chickens, some say a full 5 degrees higher. I fall upon your mercy, sage turkey...
:P I didn't know if I was qualified since I'm such a late comer.
I will take a purple jacket in size zero of course (why not be delusional all the way heehee).
