I recently sold all my orpington flock, with the exception of one adult roo and several chicks that are about 6 weeks old now. One of my chicks came out white, so i can only surmise that my flock has recessive white gene in it. Is this a valid assumption. Is it something expected that...
i am interested to know why some of my lav orpington chicks are coming out yellow with patches of lavender. Not that many of them but some are. It must be something recessive showing up, can anyone enlighten me?
I need just a few hatching eggs to get myself a good Roo.. I have two great roos but i want to outcross. Does anyone have a reccomendation of someone who would have hatching eggs that can produce a good roo.
sometimes they get huffy when you take their rooster away.. but otherwise give them time, and if no results start looking for things like worming and external parasites making them feel less than 100%.

I hatched 6 girls and 2 boys in July, it took forever for the 2 boys to show up as boys, I can tell almost immediately with my Marans... they are in a pen with lots of other birds for growing out. Leghorns, ameraucana, marans etc: and these boys act just like girls. all the other breeds...
