Not currently. The hens are black (without barring) with red leakage on the head and neck, sometimes the breast. McMurray Hatchery calls them "Black Stars" and shows a picture of the hen.

There are "clicks" no matter which type of animal takes your fancy. What matters is if you enjoy & appreciate what you have and or what you are trying to accomplish. If nobody was willing to cross their chickens, we would never discover new beautiful birds that we could then work towards...

There were variations in the hatchlings. All of them were black. A couple looked like the birchen lacing was going to be red/brown, but something got in the coop and only this one baby survived.
Oh, I have a birchen cochin bantam crossed with a mille fleur. She looks like a birchen cochen with a muff and a little extra leg feathering. She's cute. I like the muff. You guys want pictures this weekend?
