Bernadette definitely looks like a boy, the comb is wide and he already has wattles coming in. Try to get some new pictures of Nancy and Drusilla's combs. They are hard to see in the pictures because the combs are the same color they are.
Looks like the top of the comb is getting red/mulberry, and itdoes seem to be kind of bumpy for 11 weeks. Combine that with roostery behavior and it's probably a boy.
I know its way too early to sex these 3 chicks (they are 3 weeks old), but I have my guesses based on the combs as to whether they are boys or girls. I am curious if others see the same, and whether the way the combs look now will be an accurate judge of the sex in a few months.

Hi.. I have 2 silkie questions..
First, this black chick is 11 wks old. Acts very "girlish", no roo behavior that I have seen except the occasional chest bumping with its chick-mates. I know it's early, but girl or boy?
Second, this little chick is almost 2 weeks old, I have never seen a...
Yes, Wookie is definitely a boy, and comparing them, Nugget seems "girlie". I think at this point, behavior is more of a clue than looks. They make a cute couple :)
Oh why do silkies torture us so! In the first pic, that neck stretch pose is very roo'ish, so if he/she is doing it a lot, I would say boy. I don't see any signs of boy feathering yet. I have an 8 week old hatchery silkie that "acts" all girl. No posturing at all except when chest bumping it's...
I think the splash is a boy, and the top one a girl and the white one no clue. Based purely on guessing :-D I have better luck sexing based on personality. The boys stand up straighter and stretch their necks out more. Girls also tend to feather out quicker. But, again, all guessing
It is the LOOOOOONG wait in sexing silkies that is keeping me from getting any more. By the time you find out you have a roo, you are attached to them, then you have to rehome them and then you feel like crapola cause you don't know if they are really going to a good home.. at least that's what...
