i'm sending a small boat motor in a couple months

i think you can count states between you & the shipper
if it a large number 6, 8, 10 a good hatch will be tough
only a couple states away you may get a bunch to hatch out
even if i just get a breeding pair i'll be happy
any more than that is a bonus
i still have 3 jubilee eggs from an ebay purchase
out of 11 three are still on track
they will be in the hatcher in a couple more days
my friend OZ only gets about a 25% hatch rate but his eggs travel up to...

correct i have a new line of birds that i call "new england whites
they are not Bresse
even though i used a Bresse hen to produce them
the problems come when some clown sells off chicks saying they are pure Bresse & they turn out not to be
i don't think anyone on this thread would do...
i don't have a Bresse rooster for my lone hen so i am using an imported english orpington for now
i am calling them New England Whites & will be treated as meat birds
i have seen some of the Dragon lady's birds & they are very good quality
the other thing you could try is adding a monster buff orpington in with your current buff american hens

my wife & i get more than 3 meals out of 1 buff rooster
now this is not to say that...
here is one of the roosters that i got from another BYC member "ReniesPeeps"
i have a few of these, i figured they would be great to improve my buff orpingtons

It is tough to compare the 2 due to the fact that they are raised in a much different manor
in France Bresse are raised on pasture so the feed bill is almost zero
once they have grown to a point then they are moved to a building to be made ready for market
they are then feed milk & grain...
they are calling these birds "American Bresse" even though there is nothing American about them.
I need to cut some more trees down so i can have a proper pasture for my flock
I can then try raising a batch in the normal French manor
i did end up processing a hen who got her feet into...
