depends on if we can or if everything is shut down again
I understand, everything is so up in the air. I've been wanting my son to come out around his birthday (Sept. 25th) but we don't know if it will work out this year or not.

I don't particularly enjoy killing the rabbits either, but we wanted to be prepared and have an alternate protein source just in case! We were planning on doing a lot of traveling that's why we were getting out of gardening & animals! Ah well, plans change and it's best to try and roll with it the best you can!we never got out of chickens or gardening, i just started planting and canning more, chickens about the same, not rabbits tho, husband doesn't have the heart to kill rabbits anymore and i sure don't unless its suffering, and to think i used to hunt when younger, guess if i was hungry i could kill again
if i was hunting, i had no problem shooting something to eat but after i married didn't have to hunt, husband had a good job so i kinda got used to buying meat, but his mother and father were great gardners and i learned from her how to can and to this day i still use a water bath canner for a lot of things, just bought a pressure canner and i hate it but have to go with the times, as for meat we have kune-kune pigs, i have the chickens that we can hatch and raise for eggs and meat and we have a friend that raises beef that we buy so we're set for food, if things get bad our son(lives right next door) can also have foodI don't particularly enjoy killing the rabbits either, but we wanted to be prepared and have an alternate protein source just in case!
