Why does it say this at the bottom of some people's posts?? Is there staff that actually read every post??

I don't think staff can read every post as there are way too many!! They will have edited something out that was not appropriate for BYC.

If a post needs to be edited, usually the staff member who edits it will add that part so you know. You will generally get a rules reminder or a note saying why it was edited.
Then if someone replies, quoting in part that post we edited, that one will be edited too, but we will just add the "edited by staff" part without notifying that person.
But no, we don't read every post. We rely on the reports system to alert us to posts that may need to be looked at. Or in the course of browsing the forum as members we might run across something.
