Permethrin spray

Pics
has there been a lot of rain lately?

Yes but no more than the usual for Hawaii :( Dept of Ag guy says NOT bird mite, looks like but the color is wrong & haven't seen any on the girls. Maybe feed mites? I ferment my feed, feed bin is clean but I do scatter some dry feed on the ground when I close them up as a treat. Maybe?
Funny thing, my boots have been bug free when walking in (today) but when I put a food dish down with their treats, saw some crawling in it. Nothing on their food trough. I did dust them yesterday with Sevin & sprinkled the shavings, this morning was great but don't want to get to celebrating yet. :fl
This is making me NUTS:he:barnie

Tonite I will be spraying with Permethrin 10 again (half gallon this time), the past gallon I made was sprayed in the afternoon, someone said needs to be sprayed at night. After this, I'm not doing anything more, too much chemicals for me. The guy at DoA said to wait a week & hit it again with whatever I've done

I appreciate, it hadn't rained for awhile but rain is "normal" for us here, never had a issue in the past but perhaps the heat/humidity we've suffered this Summer with the sudden rain is causing "growth" :barnie Any idea or help with solution is always greatly appreciated!

we only get snakes/mites/ lice when everything is running for higher dry ground.

Martin's SFR 36.8% products labels read:
Poultry use should be at .08% to .33% of the product.....
and if treating the Coop one should use a .5% solution.
The calculations are on the label I have linked above.

Two different recommended percent amounts.

I live in Idaho and we had a very wet winter but no rain all summer long. I have been fighting lice all summer. Today I did a Permethrin 10% drench on everyone. Wet chickens, in 99 degree weather dry in about 30 minutes. I think there is an infestation going on possibly brought in by the wild quail(that I absolutely adore), they share dirt bathing pits. I guess this is going to have to come to an end. I don't feed the wild quail, but lately they just get into the pen and eat the chickens food. Some of my hens have feathers that look just like the prev. post's picture. The 1 1/2 year old hens are all molting ( I think) and there are feathers everywhere. I noticed today that some of the loose feathers on the ground have nits at the bottom of them. I really need to break this cycle.
