Juice cleanse

Mrs fluffy puffy that green drink sounds really good! I would love to try it. Where do you get the green powder and what is it? I am trying to find ways to add coconut oil never thought of adding it to a smoothly, I was thinking it had to melt. I don't think my blender would blend spinach leaves.
sounds like you live a very healthy life, I love how good juicing makes you feel. I could never do a month with just water!

Suzie,

You can buy it online, at health food stores, etc. I have two different kinds of green powder that I'm using right now to supplement since I do not have any fresh greens.

Here is a list of the ingredients - everything is Organic, a lot of it is sprouted, and dried at a very low temperature so all the good stuff is still there. Mmmm

Pineapple, Beet, Carrot, Spinach Leaf, Broccoli (flower and stem), Tomato, Kale Leaf, Red Cabbage Leaf, Parsley, Brussel Sprouts, Green Bell Pepper, Cucumber, Celery, Garlic, Ginger Root, Onion, Cauliflower, Asparagus, Amaranth Sprouts, Quinoa Sprouts, Millet Sprouts, Buckwheat Sprouts, Garbanzo Bean Sprouts, Lentil Sprouts, Adzuki Bean Sprouts, Flax Seed and Sprouts, Sunflower Seed Sprouts, Pumpkin Seed Sprouts, Chia Seed Sprouts, Sesame Seed Sprouts, and Chia Seeds.

Here is a list of the ingredients of the other green powder: - again everything is organic, etc.

Barley, and Oat Grass Juice Powder, Alfalfa Sprouts, Beet Juice, Chlorella, Parsley Powder, Zucchini Powder, Carrot Root Powder, Green Bean Powder, Broccoli Sprouts, Spinach Leaf Powder, Kamut Grass Juice Powder, Sea Vegetable Complex (providing Iodine, + trace minerals), Kelp, Rockweed, Laver, Alaria, Cell membrane and never support, Soy lecithin powder, High Fiber foods & prebiotics, Stabilized Brown Rice bran, Whole apple powder, Milled flax seed concentrate, and then there is a whole 'nother long list of herbs, green teas, and root that are in the mixture.....

As for the Coconut Oil..I LOVE it. I use it on my skin, hair, and I eat it by the spoonful. It's so good for you.

I read a book called "The Green Smoothies Diet" by Robyn Openshaw - that is what got me hooked.

I don't agree with some of the stuff they have to say, but do on about 90% of it.

If you'd like I can post some of the recipes and such I've found helpful for me that are super quick and easy.

Thanks for all that information! I will be looking for the green powder. I think it will come in handy if I don't have time to juice. I would love some recipes.

Chia Seeds - are what I call a superfood. I can have a small bowl of Chia Pudding and be satisfied, not feel stuffed, and I have tons of energy! It's rawsome!

Recipe: Chia Pudding

4 Cups Nut Milk (making homemade nut/seed milks is a breeze! I soak several cups of nuts in water overnight, the next morning I dump the nuts and the soaking water into the blender, whiz'er up and there ya go...some do not like to have the nut pulp in their milk, and use a cheese cloth, or nutmilk bag to strain it off..however I like having the water/pulp in my pudding so I leave it)

1/2-3/4 a cup of Chia Seeds (or Flaxseeds work to..they just take a wee bit longer to soak up the liquid)

* 1/2 (or more if you choose) of Agave Nectar/Raw Honey

Dash of Cinnamon...mix well and let sit for about 10-15 minutes, stir again and there you go..enjoy.

FYI - some like to put Vanilla extract it their pudding, but I don't.

* A lot of people like to use local Maple Syrup for a sweetener, but it is not raw.

Dates can also be used to sweeten your pudding/ other desserts.

Thank you, I'm starting a notepad of all these great recipes. I have never heard of making nut milk, would a mix of almonds, cashews, and walnuts be a good mix? I remember hearing that Chia seeds are super good for you. I'm going to the store this morning and try and find everything to make this. Hopefully the nuts will mix enough in a Ninja blender.
This sounds really good and healthy.

I can't imagine that would be very good. Nasty! Try putting a tablespoon or something of Coconut Oil in your fruit/veggie smoothie. It makes it creamy and delicious! Or, I have a raw fudge recipe that calls for Coconut oil that tastes like a piece of Heaven..the Coconut oil makes it melt in your mouth. So delicious!

You can use a mixture of nuts, or just one kind, it's up to you. Cashews, make it really creamy and delicious! Make sure you nuts are raw, unroasted, and unsalted, etc.

We buy 90% of our food from Azure Standard..a food co-op out of Oregon. Here is the link: http://www.azurestandard.com/

You can buy all type of seed, nuts, green powders, protein powders, etc, etc from them.
