We are new at raising chicks. We made the mistake of ordering a coop, believing our confirmation, getting the chicks and then getting notice that the coop is backordered. Probably 4 weeks delayed. Is this as big a disaster as I think?

You may have them in the brooder longer than you planned but when all is said and done, you will quickly forget that part. Perhaps you can get them outside for short periods supervised, if you have anything you can use as a temporary run. Think outside the box. A dog crate, a play pen - anything that will keep them fairly contained but allow them some outdoor time will give them a chance to experience the outdoor and give you a short break from having them inside.

You have plenty of time. Mine were 8 weeks before they went to their coop. Just be sure to use a screen of somekind to keep them from jumping out of the brooder. We kept our brooder in the garage so our chicks saw us often and we were able to really bond with them. Now, they are wonderfully friendly and complete sweethearts. No worries, chickens are flexible.
