Godzilla's egg!

Today she laid what looked like two sacs of some yolk and mostly egg white. It made a giant mess in the nest box - yuck! Maybe she's being affected by age...she turns 5 this year, do you think that could be a factor?
 
The egg she layed was a double yolker. When my girls first started laying I had about 6 of them in one month but they eventually regulated themselves. In your case it is most likely due to age since she is laying all sorts of funky eggs lol
 
Wow! That's a crazy egg for sure! I didn't know they could develop anything like that. This forum is a gem. Thanks so much for sharing.
