You can lick the floors they are so CLEAN. I see them having employees soaping carts sometimes.

Clean stores, big variety of goods, great produce, lots of sales and good customer service. Everything a grocery store should be (but unfortunately, not so many are).

I was telling DH just the other day I miss Publix ice cream, their generic is better than any of the big name ones we've tried. (Oh chocolate moose trax I miss you so :()

Biscuits...I watched Martha Stewart make them. And she just shapes the dough into a square....then cuts them with a knife, into 9 squares. LESS HANDLING ....DOES NOT WORK THE DOUGH. Followed this method (did not cut them with cutter) did not handle
and they were flaky. I did learn something from MARTHA.

Most of her baking ingredients were TOO MUCH SUGAR AND TOO MUCH BUTTER for me. Lately she has been doing less of that.
Starting to get up to the "times". Watch your health. Aria

Walmart and the Grocery outlet are not like that here for sure!
IMO drop biscuits are sticky, mixed with a fork and dropped by spoonfuls onto baking pan? Georgia gals make "cat head" biscuits - large hand shaped - and awesome ;)
Yes!

My Mom cooked like she was from the South. I am convinced it is actually Irish cooking though.
