BYC Café

Good morning, all a cool 57 here thank you for the coffee @cow whisperer. Your FH may just want to decorate with you as a couple. Office is going to be a ghost town today as Friday is work from home apparently I did get the memo LOL.
Still working on interoffice emails, as I'm technically working from the Albany office not the Clayton office and still learning here.

Good morning Café and thanks for the coffee ☕.

I've got trouble brewing in the chicken pen with all these maturing cockerels.

I've decided that I want to keep George (the former Georgia) for the new second in command and rehome the other two boys.

Digit has been locked up since before I got home from vacation because of his harassment of the hens. No interest in him so far.

Miracle, Kylie's loan hatch, must be 2 pounds now and she's still tidbitting that guy! He has developed a superiority complex. And he must be pissing off other flock members because I watched two hens and George put the run on him only to have Kylie put the run on them!

Good Morning, Cafe’!
I just took a pan of chocolate chip cookies out of the oven. Come help yourself! Granddaughter (4) had her sleepover last night, and the first thing she wanted to do today was bake cookies. She’s my little girlie girl who loves everything pink, Princess and ballerina, yet her favorite toys are the tool set, and she loves hanging out in shop with Grandpa. She spent 2 hours in the combine with him last night.

Have a great day, everyone! It’s sunny and heading toward the mid-70’s here. Girlie and I are going to have to find some outside things to do today.

My little Princess found this in the chicken coop:

She’s been carrying it around for at least an hour. (It’s been dead long enough to be dehydrated - pretty sure it hit the hardware cloth trying to get out and fatally injured itself. We’ll be washing hands well when she comes in the house.)

Then Grandpa came home to put fuel in the combine. She wanted to see how he “feeds” it.

I’m afraid Minnie Mouse will never be the same… (The combine was shut completely down before she was allowed near it. Safety around machinery and animals is constantly being taught here.)

Now Grandpa, you didn't think you could manage all this without me, did you, lol. Looks like he's got a watchful eye on her.

Was on celebrex for more than a few years.
Started taking it for a ligament problem in my foot.
I was amazed at all the other pain(arthritis) it removed.
Then bummed when I had to stop monthly for few days to take another pain reliever for cramps(celebrex did nothing for those, and they were severe) and the arthritis pain came back.
But it was very expensive and after insurance ran out I had to stop taking it.
Not I just have to live with the pain.

But, today...Mmmmmm....perfectly ripe avocado sliced onto corn chips always brings some joy.
Some years back I got just a few Celebrex to take before a surgery. Then I found out why the Ins didn't want to cover it. $600 a month.... They are making all the $'s they had to pay out in lawsuits I guess. I remember when it was taken off the market for awhile. I don't remember the specifics but it seem like there were some big time settlements that got paid out...
