Definitely rotate your eggs around the incubator once or twice a day! It will greatly improved your hatch rates in a Little Giant. That's what I always did and I never used the slots surrounding the turner motor because they were hot. It took a while to map the temps out in there but if you do you can just avoid the really hot and cold spots and just rotate the spots yours eggs are in.

Rotate the eggs when you candle. Then they will incubate equally.

I love leghorns

If I had the space, I would have a flock of just Brown Leghorns (along with a flock of mixed colored egg layers). But I have 2 in my flock, great egg insurance.

I currently have Single Comb White Leghorn eggs and Rose Comb Dark Brown Leghorn eggs in the incubator. Not good pictures but it's lightly raining out.
