 is the drum for the chicken plucker a 55gal or smaller? we have a smaller one but not a 55 gal.  I posted on FB to see if anyone has a 55 gal we can buy.

I believe it was a 55 gallon, but was cut down. A smaller one would work too.

where do you get ox tallow? local or order online? very cool that you make all of it and its so very pretty

Ox tallow is sold locally in Belgium (we're in Vlaams-Brabant) for use in friers for Belgian fries and fry meat. It comes in large bricks like pig lard in the states, it's very useful for my traditional bars.

I work really hard to make it all pretty, haha. Most of the stock is made with hempseed, olive, or sunflower oils, and my Laundry Soap and the Scarborough Faire bars are either full tallow or half olive-half tallow.

I also have a mic stand to use when I mark aircells, its alot easier with it to hold egg in one hand and write with other, not bothering with holding flashlight.





What I use after hatching so many marans, I needed a good one!
its a 3000 lums/lumens I researched to find the brightest I could get in the most handy as well as cheap!
I have bought up to 1500 lums and couldnt see into dark blue eggs, now they look like I am candling a duck egg, very quick fast and done. Love it!
Well worth the money spent and the rechargeable batteries rock!

Officially taking notes for when I hatch my own. I used to candle eggs with my phone when I was in high school helping a friend with a hatch (it was the Ag school of the district).

I thought I would take a nap instead of working on the Living room when I got home from Docs this afternoon, I had to take one of the empty dog beds on the floor.

My livingroom project.... I got the skids up on two and a half walls while hubs installed a window. Thank GOD for power tools and nail gun! Need trim up top, paint and my new dark chocolate sectional! My gift to MEEEEE

OMG that room is gorgeous. I'm so jealous, the hubby hates my rustic and vintage tastes and likes ultramodern (lots of brushed steel and high-gloss white). The next house will be an attempt to marry both our tastes, which won't be easy. Luckily the kitchen will be cheap, my husband designs and builds them for a living.

HNNG. SO CUTE MY HEART JUST STOPPED.

How do they do this??? She lays really large eggs at times, large! And double yolkers...But this one, man the photo doesn't even really show how big it is. I wish I had a scale. I've gotten a lot of double yolks through the yrs. but never a triple. And, I've never gotten that >> egg within an egg thing. Will see. Have to eat this tomorrow.




The other dark egg is hers from yesterday, the lighter one from a brown sex link..this big
egg is from a Red Sex Link.

HOLY COW. I'm so glad I'm not a hen! None of my girls lay double yolkers, but the yolks from Lady are almost half the mass of the egg. HUGE yolks. She's not even that big, why does she need big yolks like that??? XD

Ooh sweet, I might get to catch it! I was a junior astronomer as a kid and used to use a telescope to watch the stars and write notes. I still do some stargazing and I plan on teaching my kids a thing or two about the night sky.

@hippiestink MY TAKE on MODERN RUSTIC... our old NEW HOME was a better version... however this is our lower level here... still has trimwork etc to be completed

I ripped tiles down and sprayed ceiling, floor is paper bags, glue and poly stain

Everyone has their handprint in the floor somewhere too
