Wow I didn't realize I had SP birds! Thank you for clarifying this for me.

For WE, I know it will be apparent if the cocks have the gene when they grow out their trains. But how do you know which hens carry the gene?

The indicators will depend on if they are full WE or split WE. Full WE will typically have white flights, throat patch, some white tipped feathers on the back and shoulders as well as a silverish overall appearance. Split WE will have some of these indicators.
