I did a BYC search for pepper and threads popped up about giving it to the hens to boost them to lay, there were other great threads about other uses for pepper for chickens. Great ideas & theorys

I decided to put pepper in their food yesterday and look at the results

my Cream legbar snapped our of it and started laying again. I really can't say it was the pepper, but she had started roosting again. So it was perfect timing.

I don't know for sure, but after adding cayenne pepper flakes to their feed, only afew times, they staeted laying everyday

Including a half dozen double yolks. it may have been a coincidence, but if you're not getting eggs it's worth trying.

I have it to mine too and sure nuff they started laying...and 3 of them was their first time
