Construction progress photos - 3/30/14:

We decided to go with Tongue & Groove (T&G) on the hen-house walls - tight fit and nice look were the reasons.









Upper opening will be the west-side window while the lower one is for the nesting boxes.
We'll start with 2 nesting boxes and leave the 3rd one as storage for now - if we expand the chook #'s we can always convert the storage to a 3rd nest box.




We'll be painting the interior of the hen-house white and doing some color(s) on the exterior.

Yes, we have some touch up painting to do though. I also think I need to move a roost as it's too close to the front door.

Thank you ! I've heard myself say "it's only a chicken coop" on some of my mistakes, otherwise it's either my type-A personality or my Architect background that makes me detail oriented. The family and I are having fun and that's what counts
