BYC is not responsible for transactions outside the BST area of the forum. All swaps are at the swappers risk and in no way will the Staff be involved in disputes. All disputes should be handled privately as per BYC Rules. No feedback and no feedback threads are allowed in these swaps. Do not report issues with the swaps using the report button. Please resolve all issues privately with your swap partner and/or the the swap originator. BYC discourages all transactions outside the regular BST area. Non monetary swap transactions are only allowed in this forum and only in a Swap thread. You must be 18 or over to participate in any swap, trade or any other transaction on BYC. All BYC Rules apply.

SWAP RULES

1. You must have at least 1 offer of purebreed NON-CHICKEN eggs. (See rule 12 for other options if you don't have pure eggs to offer.) You may offer more than 1 PURE breed of egg in an offer. Additional offers may be mixed breed or other types of fowl.

2. If eggs are from mixed colors, please note color combinations.

3. Minimum of 4 eggs for duck & turkey; 2 for goose, peafowl ostrich, emu & rhea; 6 for chicken, guinea & pheasant, 12 for quail. If you have any other type of fowl I haven't considered please ask about quantities. If you would like to offer more, that would be fine too.

Please post a pic if you have one, it will help your eggs move.

4. To qualify for accepting an offer, you need to post what you are offering in return in the same post.

5. When each trade is posted, please pm or email the person who offered the eggs and work out the shipping arrangements.

6. The person sending the eggs pays the shipping costs.

7. When eggs are mailed, swapper needs to send a courtesy email to the swappee to let them know that the eggs are on their way. All Eggs Must be shipped with tracking # by Priority Mail. PM tracking number to recipient when you ship.
If you need instructions on egg packing please ask!!
If eggs are severely damaged due to poor packing you will be required to reship!

8. Please offer eggs that you will have available to ship within two weeks of offering. Please send eggs no older than 4 days when shipped. (Exceptions can be made if someone claims multiple offers & agrees to have them all shipped together. MUST let recipient know age of OLDEST eggs before shipping.)

9. If combining different breeds, write in sharpie the breed. All eggs must be dated with collection date, breed & an identifying code (username, initials, anything to identify who eggs are from). There have been problems with people claiming & reshipping eggs in the past. This is to help protect everyone from this issue.

10. Side trades are welcome but please use PMs to avoid confusion.

11. You need to be a member in good standing for a MINIMUM of 3 months before you can join in this swap.

12. 6 month Gold Feather Membership from BYC may be offered in place of or in addition to first offer of pure NON-CHICKEN eggs. Additional non-egg items may be offered after first offer of qualifying eggs or GFM.

The initial offer stands as is. It was not dependent on yours being taken or not if no one else takes your offer then someone can start another offer I think is how it works. No side trade needed.

Most chains roll back to the previous offer if nobody accepts the current offer. I don't see anything in the rules of this chain about this so I guess the moderator would need to jump in to clarify. If everyone had to keep putting up new offers without getting something first we wouldn't have a chain because nobody would want to participate

Well said!

I do not do roll backs just because it takes a while to have someone claim an offer. I can not stand the chains that do. It is unfair to those offering the item rolled back to and to the person claiming.

You may also offer merchandise or gift certificates from this or other websites if you need additional ideas. Poultry websites like Ideal, Meyers, Murray McMurray all offer gift certificates. I believe a $15 gift certificate would work well for a swap. Also, new chick feeders/waterers that could be picked up easily locally & shipped only if claimed would make good offers. Just some ideas.

Eggor's anconas are beautiful, she packs really well & I had a very good hatch rate from them. Someone please snatch these up! I can't do more ducks right now. I'm in the middle of moving...lol

There are permanent markers that are slightly toxic I think and maybe that's what that person is talking about. But sharpies are not one of them. With all the swaps that have been done here I'm sure somebody would have noticed if the sharpie was having a bad effect on the embryos. I wouldn't worry about it

This was the current offer from the old chain from @WaterfowlWierdo. Please let us know if updates are needed.
