Ancona Ducks

Pics
When they are first hatched it can be hard to tell white from lavender, silver, or buff. Especially silver! You just have to wait for the feathers to come in to tell.

Here is my ancona duckling as a 6 day old. Can you guys see the shadowing and darker hairs mixed in with the yellow? What do you think? Will it have any color ?

Here are some pics of my Anconas :)

Yes there are some Welshies and a runner in the pic

I have one blue girl and one black girl and the rest are chocolate

My solid white girl in front and my oddball male behind her

Its a really bad pic but this is my blue male, he is heavily rusted, all the way up on his back even

You can see the all white ducklings head in the middle and the saxony looking slightly grey in the back at eight weeks old.

Here you can see them all feathering out with the white and buff colors .

I like the clean look of the all whites It shows off the pretty brown eyes.
But there is nothing quite like the lightly patched ancona as (Rosemary) shows off below.

Beautiful, Rose!!! I talked to the seller who said the white ducklings he has hatched have "always" gotten spots. I'm excited to see how my ducky turns out. If it turns out to be a drake with light coloring, I will be a very happy camper!!
