I've joined the August Hatch. I have 10 Silkie eggs in the incubator. Started August 2. Star Trek Theme Names (the Original Series). Spock, Uhera, Bones, Kirk, Checkov, Sulu, Chapel, Scotty, T'pring and Khan. (had to sneak in one villain at least).

Looks a little like my shrinkwrapped egg “Also Dark” which had been peeping & wobbling for a few days… and then quieted down… and stopped, so I put a safety hole in last night (gigantic air cell) and when I awakened this morning there was no progress.
So I did some chipping, and applied coconut oil to the poor thing, then went to work.

I’m home now, building the courage to investigate the seeming loss of “Dark” and “Also Dark”… will probably take photos later.

So does that mean it can heal by supplying vitamin E? Would it need antibiotics?

Yes you should give it vitamins and you would probably have to dip its beak in the water for it to drink

We have 7 out of 8. Leaving the last egg a few days but didn't see movement when I candled.
Here are the little ones, pretty sure the yellows will feather in with different patterns

I candled eggs today, they look like day 17, (I thought It was day 18, but I did think they would hatch on Aug 8-9th so right in there. I started with 6, yesterday it looked like all 6 were going, today I did have to pull one. And one looked like there was no veins on just one edge, I am not holding my breath on that one. If I was to guess, 4 will hatch.
