Most doubles only make it to day 10.
I had a triple one time. 2 were fertile, one was not. One of the 2 remaining yolks only made it to day 10. The last yolk made it to day 17 which was amazing.

I am surprised they made it long enough to start absorbing their yolk...
Bummed they didn't make it but I expected it since I found them on day 7

I got 12 legbar eggs from ebay. very nice color. I gave 4 to someone else and those were started later but think they were doing good. and I had 8 in the incubator. 6/8 hatched and all 8 started. I will find who it was and send it to you if you are interested. Not sure where you are but she is from one of the Carolina's.

I candled my eggs yesterday, and all of the barnyard mix eggs are developing! Unfortunately, only one of my CCL eggs is developing.

Went to give my broody in the daylilies some food this morning, only to find her gone, feathers everywhere, and eggs cold. One cracked.

I'd been afraid of moving her since I didn't want to have to do indoor (ie incubator) hatching, but looks like that's what I'm doing after all. Sigh.

11 eggs left. I'll candle them later.

I'm an impatient person. Three eggs look like either quitters or clear (most probably quitters) but I'll leave them in for the time being. That's still 8 eggs that are at the same point.

Perhaps when it's darker, I'll check again and with a stronger flashlight. Couldn't see much when I candled them, apart from them being dark with life.
