Brabanters and Spitzhaubens--The Differences PIC HEAVY!

Im not sure if this is the right thread to post in or not since I did see an ongoing thread specific to Appenzeller Spitzhauben. But today I got my first Spitzhauben hatching eggs from a local breeder they are Silver Spangled. They will be set in the incubator tomorrow for a hatch date of March 22. I cant wait to skim through this thread and read more on this breed.

I will post pics after hatch. Im so excited to see the chicks.

For those of you with Brabanter from Ideal - about how big did they mature into? It says 5 pounds, is that about right?

I hatched them from eggs I got from a breeder local to me. She originally got hers many years ago from another breeder, they are not hatchery. She has been working on them for for quite a few years. Im very happy to have them.

I really like their looks! So many have way too much dark IMO and yours are so bright.

Spangles incorrect and crest going backwards. Just keep culling and you'll get their!
