@DobieLover, I'm so sorry you had crappy weather. Ours was perfect.

The chickens and the bees seemed unfazed and unimpressed by the eclipse. I warned them about it ahead of time and promised that it would never happen to them again.

They all appear to be alive. But I can't really see to the bottom of the pond.

I started on the pond work at 7:30 this morning and didn't stop until 5:30. I'm absolutely filthy but decided to come down to the field to let the dogs run for a bit before I hop in the shower and then go to the grief share group with my sister. Shockingly, the back seems to be no worse than when I was just sitting around.
I don't know why I thought I would get this pond done so quickly. It's a gigantic project!

I dug the starts of thistle in the chicken yard.
Did the tables and boards.
The ground is so soft from the rain it was easy to get under them.

Tomorrow is one more really nice day, and then we get drenched. I want to get some more spring stuff planted in the garden to get watered in.

This is going to stop all my progress on the pond.
I should be able to get one load of stone into the bog today but after that, I don't dare drive my trailer across the yard with such a heavy load for risk of getting the whole rig stuck in the mud.
