Chicken names. Post them here!

I don't usually name my chickens because their fate isn't always clear but I have a few that seem to already have a name and it doesn't seem like I've named them but that they came with it.

I have a Myrtle at the moment and my male goose's name is "Tom" of all things. LOL

My first chicks are named - I have no idea what breed they are (my grandson & I picked one of this, one of that, & one more for good measure).

Snickers - a multi-colored darker tans & browns (turned out to be a beautiful rooster)
Almond Joy - all small hen thats white with a few black speckles (she's broody now with 5 eggs - due next week)!
Milky Way - a standard hen with a mixture of lighter tans & browns

So you can see - I went with candy bars!
I love chocolate

Henry(the rooster)
and a white one named Snow

When I get my 2 white silkie girls, they will be Posh and (probably) Cassandra.

We have a Harry Potter themed naming system (I have 2 Potter-head kids)

First, our BO is Sunny, just cause my 8 yr old LOVES her and didn't want her to participate since she's "more special" than all the other chickens. (

please don't let anything happen to that one

Hedwig-light spash cochin

Harriet (for Harry)-Australorp

Ronny (for Ron)-Australorp

We also have an australorp roo that must go and we aren't going to name him.
