Coop Build for my daughter

If you want to build a "to code" structure meant for people than I can guide you in that direction, but its absolutely not necessary.

In fact, windows in a chicken coop need no glass -- just hardware cloth over the opening and a top-hinged cover to keep the weather out. :)

Though some situations where aesthetics are important do call for more standard windows, especially when needing to meet local codes about appearance.

they are. i happen to be a big fan of aesthetic requirements though.

i take pride in my homes and i like when there are assurances that my neighbors have to, also.

No offense but I'm glad I don't live next to someone such as yourself.

I'm more of a live and let live type of person.

Thats how we roll out in the sticks. ;)

none taken, and the sentiment is returned.

i couldn’t care less what my neighbors do, i just don’t want to look at a car on cinderblocks in their front yard. or the chicken coop equivalent in their backyard.

No one has the right to force their neighbors to comply with their aesthetic standards.

They do if you live in a northern clime, like th OP does.

If they're the supplemental, summer-only ventilation, not the primary ventilation. :)
