Cream Legbar Hybrid Thread

Yes, the gold chicks are the brown looking ones. Yellow chicks are ones that have yellow down at birth and then grow white feathers.

So your reddish colored chicks are pullets and your white feathered chicks are cockerels, if they come from a gold based father and a silver based mother.

As far as your black barred chicks, I only see one in the photos, and that one appears to be a pullet at this point. Do you have more than one black barred chick?
I hope the black ones are pullets as they are my favourite, although the white ones are good looking too. What about the greyish/white ones in picture 2?
I've only got one picture with the two black ones, but it's a bit blurry:

What you are calling greyish/white I am calling silver. Boys.

I can’t really see the two black barred ones well enough to tell.

Great thread! Here’s my GLC (hen) x OE (rooster) cross. She’s the sweetest fluff ball! Any others out there? I haven’t made it through the entire thread yet lol.

My 2 girls are getting more lovely everyday. I really think I want just a whole flock of this cross lol. I have yet to think of a name to call this cross I want to think of something clever rto call them. Id like to think of names specifically for each of them also but have yet to have anything come to mind.

Here are a few from just the other day

Hi! I know this is old, but I’m curious, how long did they take to lay? I have a CCL x GLC mix who’s 5 months and doesn’t appear close to laying. Not sure if she’ll get the Cochin gene which I hear is 8-10mos when they lay.

Yours are the closest I’ve found so far that look like my girl.

Also, which egg color gene did they get? I’m hoping mine lays the legbar blue.

If the CCL was pure it should lay a green egg. Could probably be described as a blueish green.
Unfortunately the father wasn’t a pure CCL. I was told he was an olive egger but his CCL gene pulled through pretty heavily in my girl. Perhaps she’ll still lay blue/green-ish? This is the father and mother:

50% chance of it. 50% chance of brown eggs.
