Hmm, I'm a little concerned about the hens that have been laying such massive eggs. I have been reading about introducing the RIR rooster I am getting soon to expand my existing flock, and I stumbled upon this article: http://www.betterhensandgardens.com/infectious-bronchitis-in-chickens/
The egg that your hen has layed looks an awful lot like the egg in the article...
