So we noticed the other day my little cuckoo maran dude was limping, we called vet after vet and they think he could have a dislocated hock or slipped tendon and advised us to splint for four months, and keep him indoors.

We splinted him tonight with popsicle sticks and ouchless breathable tape. I also brought his leg in like you would for splade legs to help if the tendon is slipped to heal in the proper way.

Any other advice to make him more comfortable? Swelling went down big time he can bend and lock his toes. Very talkative, sweet and eats like a horse.
We have him in a container on a towel to keep him from slipping.

Wow, awesome. I suggest padding the splint (popsicle stick). The first time I treated a broken leg, I did not, which caused more swelling and some mild rubbing. Treating for shock is never a bad idea, either.
