Sponsored Post Do you celebrate the holidays with your chickens? Tell us how!

Sally, I've never seen your coop before, I LOVE IT!!! Your pictures are wonderful. I don't know how you got those chicks to perch on Santa at the same time, but it's hysterical!

Thanks! as you probably noticed on pinterest I was doing my homework on pallet coops last year or so??? Doesn't time fly!.... this pic is our first pallet coop, and I love the how it turned out, number 2 coop has also been completed and its now acting coop/brooder to our partridge, gold and Blue Part Brahmas.... we just started letting them in the run, silly birds are so scared! Too cute as to how very large they are at 3.5 months, anyway we only based painted and didnt even add windows yet, and I have this big old round clock that I am still trying to talk DH to adding iot to the side a large window with screening in the front... I usually win he he he!

Reading back through I saw this! Your hatching in winter too!! he he he what is she? a maran? love that white aside her beak!

its kinda complicated. the green structure was my playhouse when i was younger and the run we just built a couple months ago. it is 6 feet high, 16 feet long and eight wide. it can hold around 13 chickens plus underneath the coop which is another 2-3 and then i have a pen for the newbies which is 4x6. i give my birds 10 square feet each so i have the big run plus underneath and eventually the other run so all together we could have around 18 chickens. the upstairs of the coop is 5x6 and with a side door and 3 windows. right now we have c through plastic over the windows so that a draft cannot get in and rain or snow also. inside the coop, from floor to ceiling it is around 5'5''. so that is a quick overview on my coop. if you have anymore question ask and ill be more than happy to answer them. if you want to see the breeds i have look at my profile, sorry its just a lot of typing and i hate it.
