So, I haven't seen an EE serama and thought it would be fun to attempt to breed my own. I am in this for the long run and want to see the long term results.

I have some EE bantam cockerels that were shipped to me today, that I will use in my project. I am planning on breeding them to seramas. Then, taking their offspring and breeding them back to the seramas. I will keep updating and posting, so follow along

I have a small batch of F1 eggs in the incubator. Silkie Serama cockeral over 2 tiny TJ EE bantam pullets. 10 eggs in today. Love this idea!

That's awesome! Keep us posted! I have a Serama pullet that is going to start laying soon and then I will pair her up with the EE cockeral and see if I can hatch a couple of F1 Serama EE!

So my 3 week old EE serama is showing signs of being a rooster.
He has a pea comb so I'm hoping that means he has a blue egg gene.
He's silver based with gold leakage showing on the wings.
He's not fully feathered yet but his behavior is very roo like as well.

The second younger chick I have is grey with a gold head.

Is this a sign I have 2 boys? I've never tried to sex mix breeds by color before.

Well, I know that they have done the Serama with the silkie, this could be a fun one too!

Puffy cheeked Seramas!
