I figured that since they’re literally my name (and I couldn’t find an existing thread) I’d start a thread on Easter Eggers! Easter Eggers are not an actual breed but I still love them.

An Easter Egger is any mix that has the blue egg gene. That means any not purebred bird that lays blue or green eggs is an Easter Egger.

Feel free to post pictures, tell stories, and ask questions!

Heres mine until I sell them

I don’t have any Easter Eggers but I am hopefully getting chicks this year! Are they friendly and cuddly or more skittish? I know part of depends on how you raise them but I’ve only raised chickens that are supposed to be really friendly so I’m not sure! I would love to see some pictures of yours too!

I have a couple, and will be making more!
2 were supposed to be cream legbars, but have darker heads with no crest. One we think is an americana white leghorn mix, started off a white bird then started turning brown on top.
I just put 6 light brahma eggs in the incubator with 6 cream legbar eggs. My roo is a cream legbar, so the brahma chicks should lay light green eggs and be a sexlink pairing.

Most of the EEs I’ve had have been very friendly! Of course because they are mixed it depends on what’s in them lol

Exciting!! I’ve always wanted to hatch eggs
