I'm looking to get some more hens to add to my light sussex and silkie rooster... I want a excellent layer who is known to be friendly and sweet...

I have my first chicks from my favaucana project. These are a cross between my lavender salmon faverolles rooster and my black Ameraucana hens. I am told the chick coloring is called melanized partridge and should feather in black and that the f2 crosses should be lavender without the brittle feather problems of many lavenders. Excited to see :D So far all have the feathered legs and fifth toe. Will be interested to see how the combs grow in.

I have one, she just started to lay beautiful green eggs. Out of 2-1/2 weeks, she only missed 2 days. On one day, she laid 2 eggs. She is super sweet and friendly. Fairly quiet... The perfect chicken!!!

We have 4 of them and I love them, they lay beautiful green eggs and are hearty in the winter.

If you don’t have another lot between you and your neighbors, I would not buy them, hard stop. They are very loud if they are unhappy and they require a lot of space to forage.

The name sounds like a cross between a Favorelle and an Auracana.
Best,
Karen
