Ok I’ve been a member for 4 years and have only used this site for references and advice. So here’s what I’m doing while staying home ...

I went out and bought 4 baby chicks, ISA browns. They are currently in my house under a lamp and being handled quite often by me and my husband. He is smitten with the one he named Elsie. She wants to come out and see him and crawl up his arm and sit on his shoulder! It’s adorable! Then we have Mamie, Hazel and Myrtle. They all have unique traits and today they went outside for some experience in the grass and bug picking! They loved it.
I was down to only one hen and this seemed a perfect time to bring in some babies to nurture.

Clean the coop, it ALWAYS needs to be cleaned. It's amazing how much waste a flock of 11 can produce!

Train your chickens tricks. Yes, like a dog. Mine know "shake", and we're working on "Hoop" and "Over" (jump over the arm). (Also, any more trick ideas will be appreciated!)

One of my hens also know “Shake”. Whenever I pick her up and put her down, I would say “Brownie, shake” and she shakes.
