One day about 3 years ago I was cold in the Philippines lol

I had been there about 12 months and it was only 74 during the day. The strong winds were blowing off the ocean. I almost had to put a sweater on.

As far as miles go. I have accumalated 875,000 with PAL but only 570,000 are bum in seat flight miles that count towards million miler. Between all airlines I have around 1.2 million flight miles. That includes around 20 trips to Australia since 1989, 12 trips Sydney to Bali in my youth, and numerous trips to Europe, Egypt, Africa and Cancun.

I actually dont enjoy the flying - but I love whats there when I get off the plane. I have the luxury of upgrading to business class on most flights so they are not the torture they used to be. My flights to the Philippines are ideal times to maximise my time there - I leave at 10pm from here so I can work the day of departure and am home in bed at 11 pm my day of return so I can work the next day.

I can only imagine. I've flown back and forth between Europe and the US a few times and each time it just got a bit more boring *laugh* I do enjoy local flights, where you can look out the window and enjoy the scenery. 8-9 hours of staring at the ocean on the other hand gets boring REALLY fast, if you're lucky enough to even sit near a window. You can only watch so many movies and after about several hours my behind is less than pleased.
