how do you make your cheese? the only way I've tried is 1/2 cup of vinegar let it separate the simple method. would like to know how to flavor it or other ways.

When I had milkin' goats and had the pleasure of making cheese... I would usually make a simple Chevre' cheese.. a yummy spreadable cheese which could be used a number of different ways.. pasta.. crackers as cream cheese... on pizza...

So, I always used a bit of buttermilk and a touch of liquid rennet and it would separate.. hang it for 12 hours and then season it.. roll into a ball or log to be used.
I would season it with garlic powder.. black pepper, salt, fresh herbs (basil, rosemary, thyme).. and that was sublime!

My daughters like it when I would put some Strawberry extract into it and spread it on their bagels!

But their are a ton of good recipe books.. you could make your own mozzarella which is simple also!...

Good Luck!.. and Happy Cheese makin'!!!
