Goat Thread!

We had a few unruly ladies and a giant wether that my partner would tie to the corral and then tie one foot up at a time and work on it. Luckily we only have sweet girls now and they let us no problem. I will randomly put them in the milking stand and feed them starting very young just so they get used to being handled

No baby news but I have a funny. I scared my fainting goat on accident this morning and she jumped, fell, and farted before completely coming to a halt abd looking back at me like I did it on purpose

I gotta trim hooves again. It's so hard for us. Hubby holds them. I trim. We've tried on a grooming stand, but my girls are pretty unruly.

Do y'all have any suggestions? We DREAD having to do it.

Maybe it would be easier to tie them to the fence, and lift their hooves to trim? I’ve pretty much phased out all of my large goats, but if I remember correctly they were easier to trim hooves on the ground Most of my Nigerians aren’t bad to trim hooves, but the Boer goats were terrible!
