Hatch along!!!

Now I'm curious. What do you do with quail?
Well, you can raise them as pets, eat their eggs just like chicken eggs, raise them for meat (which I've heard is very very good), and were planning on releasing a few in our local woods because the population is going down.

Yay Chick!

Keep us posted how the hatch progresses!

HugHess, have you set any eggs yet?  If so, what kind?

Hi Peep...
I hope to hatch up to 9 Lavender Orpington's...fingers crossed...begging and groveling to the power that be in charge of my embryos...they went in Friday morn...it feels like a month ago already :/ !

I find myself fussing at the incubator.... What's to do? They're just holding their own and rolling along. The first day I set them I should probably not count as I'm opening and closing the lid, adjusting the position of the thermometers, fretting about humidity. I think I must have a worry gene...at least I have something to focus it on for the next three weeks.
