I found one of my 60 chickens with 3 growth on the top of her foot. I performed a surgery and took a hard mass, yellow, that looks like hard puss. Can anyone tell me what that is?

Do an on site search on 'bumblefoot' and see if that is what you are dealing with.

It's probably bumblefoot. Head over to the "Emergencies/Diseases/Injuries and Cures" section and post in their with pictures of her foot. Hope your hen gets better!

My 4H leader JUST did this surgery on one of her chickens too! She described it as a hard yellow mass. Wrap the foot with gaze and tape and keep her contained for a while. Its defiantly Bumble foot u got.
