Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

Tonight was YOYO - you're on your own. I ate a Krispy Kreme, then some left over mashed potatoes and stuffed peppers and finished off with a piece of wineberry/apple/crumb pie that we bought at the Warren Co fair.
 
I just cut both ends off, put them in foil with oil or butter salt and pepper, close up the foil and put in oven at 375*F for about an hour. Bigger beets take a little long, smaller ones a little less time. Sometimes do the same thing on the grill.

Yep, easy enough. You do need to skin them after cooking, let them cool 5 - 10 minutes. I forgot that part since that is normally done by some one else here. lol

I wonder if it would be possible to peel them with a potato peeler prior to baking ?
