Hi! I have a 'coffee can candler' with a fluorescent bulb I've been using for a couple of years now. It 'lives' on the back of the toilet in the half-bath --- great for when I need to multi-task (but mostly the room is dark and convenient).
And just think, I candle every egg that leaves here...

Hi - For my Khaki Campbell duck eggs I have been using a Mini - Mag lite - works great but any suggestions on how to candle really dark eggs like Marans, Welsummers or Barnevelders ?

Yep, Mag-light an a Dixie cup with a hole in it.

I got a simple coffe can with a light bulb mounted on the metal side and i have several plastic tops painted black with different sized holes depending what i incubate.

I made a candler with an old shoebox, duct tape, and a flashlight. Doesn't duct tape work for everything?

Here is mine. Coffee can and a light base. I put some electrical tape around the hole to protect the eggs when candling.
