So, what kind was it, fruit, grape, inquiring minds and all that ya know!

I tried my hand at making some in 2010. My friend found the recipe and my uncle had the fruit. He called them scupanons (Wikipedia calls them Scuppernong). It turned out very good, but strong. Not your average store bought wine.

We havent been doing much lately. To much holiday cheer.
We did start some Sorgum syrup wine last week. Noting but sorgum syrup, a little water, a box of rasins, some cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. I dont know where DW got the recipie, but this is going to be interesting.

Pretty much all you need is the fruit juice and powder yeast and wait, then you got wine

Perssimmons grow wonderfully in SC, I believe I have even seen them growing in Florida. I know they grow in NC.

I got some persimmon seeds from a BYCer but they never sprouted. =(
