Was going to do that, then switched it up to burying it 12”… very laborious… going back to 2’ apron.., do I cover the apron with dirt?… was wondering, being chickens scratch… thoughts?

My dilemma; I can only get down about 6” around perimeter of coop. Wood, for run is not available till next week. At that point they can walk around run.,Good examples of anti-dig apron installation.

We call them pinch bars here. I wouldn't be without one. They have many uses, from poking holes for poles, loosening soil, and moving big heavy things like boulders and milling machinesThanks so much. I never heard of a calliche bar or a trenching shovel. This coop/run will be in a lawn, so the sod is also hard to get through. We have bermuda grass which is the worst thing to try to get through. I think I might try to see if a landscape place has a trencher. I'm 81, and even tho' I'm building my own coop, digging is another thing. Thanks again.
