i've looked on their website, i've looked on the bag....but i've yet to find an ingredients listing what's in Layena???!!! am i just not looking in the right place? have i overlooked it somehow? i can't see how though! i've looked all over that bag! i would like to know what's in it, besides the "talking" they do on the back of the bag. it's like picking a dog food for your pet, you wanna make sure the ingredients are good. how can i do that if they don't list them? does anyone know what they put in the stuff?

On the website that easttxchick posted, the guaranteed analysis is what you're going to see on the tag on the bottom seam of the bag. It will list the ingredients as "Grain products, plant protein products, processed grain byproducts." I doubt it tell you how much corn is in it.

It's on the label,

They call it "least-cost formulation". They have a computer program that creates the recipe based on price and availablity of all the potential ingredients. The ingredient list changes as the prices of the commodities change. As long as they hit the targeted protein, fat, fiber, etc. as stated on the label then they have done their job.

yeah, but thanks anyway. it's weird why they don't say what's actually in it. i was looking into some organic feed and saw the main ingredient was corn. i thought too much corn wasn't good for chickens? i know with dog food you wanna stay away from the kinds that have corn as a 1st ingredient. it's like corn is a cheap filler.

There should be a tag sewn into the bottom seam of the bag. I don't have any Layena right now, but I looked at my Flock Raiser and it's there.

Sometimes the cashier will tear off the tag to scan it.

The most recent bags of Purina Layena are pink (Breast Cancer Awareness) and the ingredients tag is sewn on the bottom of the bag.
